‘MAFS’ King Jack Has Absolutely Ripped Into The 2023 Crop Of Couples

Married at First Sight has always been popular among viewers for its chaotic nature rather than its (lack of) ability to help singles find their forever love, but according to last year’s contestant, Jack Millar, this year’s crop of couples just aren’t doing it for him.

Speaking to Yahoo!, the reality star fave — who was paired with Domenica Calarco in last year’s season — spilled the tea on what he really thought of Season 10’s contestants, and tbh, he’s NOT a fan.

“There’s not much likability and connection,” he told the publication. “I feel like a lot of the relationships on there, although there are a few outliers, a lot of them are chaotic.”

“And it’s not like chaos for the sake of building the relationship, it’s quite literally chaos for the sake of drama and TV — or at least that’s what it seems like to me. And that’s why I’m struggling to connect with them.”

Coming from someone whose bride quite literally smashed a glass in anger during one of last season’s dinner parties in what would forever be known as the “wine glass incident“, that’s saying something!

He did hit the nail on the head when it came to his thoughts on the blokes of this season, saying they needed to own their mistakes rather than double down (we’re looking at you, Adam, Dan and Harrison), and offered some sage advice for the cast as a whole.

“When someone does something wrong, whether you meant to hurt someone’s feelings or whether you just did it accidentally, there is a thing called an apology. You utilise this, because we are all taught it when we are very young, and you say ‘I am sorry’ and you try and understand what you did to make them feel that way.”

He added, “You don’t say, ‘I’m sorry you feel that way’ because that undermines or invalidates the way that someone’s feeling. You say, ‘I’m sorry that I said that, I won’t do it again’. It’s pretty simple.” Preach!!

Elsewhere in the chat, the financial planner continued to rip into the cast, saying that many of them have “ruined” the experience by throwing themselves at every media outlet they can, and look, he’s not wrong.

We reckon Season 10’s couples would be wise to take on the words of the MAFS alum, because despite him and Dom calling it quits after the show, the pair seem to be on great terms and have since moved on to other happy, healthy relationships following their split — and we love that for them!

Married at First Sight airs Sunday to Wednesday on Channel 9.
