Apparently A Wild Scene Was Cut Out Of The ‘MAFS’ Reunion
From the infamous ‘butt-dial’ to Claire Nomarhas and Adam Seed’s cheeky pash, a lot of the drama from this year’s Married at First Sight season wasn’t actually shown in the episodes.
And we can add another bombshell to the list, with the news that Melissa Sheppard apparently stormed out of the reunion after hearing Claire say nasty words about her in scenes that were played back to her on the couch.
A mysterious source told So Dramatic! that Melissa was shown scenes of her and her TV husband Josh White that she felt didn’t paint her in the best light. “It was just about the sex stuff,” the source said. “Josh couldn’t even look Mel in the eyes because he felt so uncomfortable about what was shown.”
The insider said that the ‘freak in the sheets’ bride was “mortified” by what she was shown and “went into defence mode”. Things then escalated after she was shown footage of some of the other brides “talking shit” about her, with the insider claiming that Claire was the ringleader.
“They all threw her under the bus and slut-shamed her,” they said. “It was pretty nasty from Claire. She slut-shamed Melissa the most,” the insider said.
“Melissa confronted Claire about it and said, ‘I saw your face and the faces you were pulling at me. You’re meant to be my friend. This is so hurtful.'”

Before the two brides had a chance to hash things out, Melissa “stormed out of the ceremony” and refused to return to finish off her and Josh’s couch session.
“Mel just backdoored it and doesn’t return because she was so hurt and was crying uncontrollably,” they said. “She was embarrassed to be around her peers after what they played of her.”
“But the f*cked thing was, no one even called her to see where she was or if she was OK after she left. Melissa cried for two days after the reunion. She felt so embarrassed and unwanted.”
These claims were more or less supported by Mel’s MAFS partner Josh in a recent Reddit AMA confirming that Mel did disappear at the reunion. “She did not return from a toilet break and I was advised she wasn’t happy with what she saw – and she is perfectly entitled to feel that way,” the Disney king eloquently explained.
The explosive confrontation between Mel and Claire took place on set, meaning that it was undoubtedly filmed. However, neither the blowout nor Josh and Mel’s couch session made the cut. Even more surprisingly, this season’s most polarising couple Bronte and Harrison were also spared air time in the final episode.
At this stage, all the cut material could be used as great content for a bonus MAFS episode. Just saying.
