Reality Tea: Matty J On Wedding Plans, Having Another Baby & His Favourite Ever ‘Bachelor’ Moment
Matty J was one of the best Bachelors we’ve seen in Aussie history. This isn’t us being biased, it’s just a fact.
Not only did Matty J and Laura Byrne give us one of the sweetest loves stories from the Aussie Bachy franchise, they’ve also kept us entertained during isolation with their hilarious at-home videos and cute snaps of their daughter Marlie-Mae.
Matty J has also been keeping busy hosting Nova FM’s The Babble podcast (formerly with Nat Bass) where he chats about the biggest and weirdest moments from television and pop culture.
Before the global pandemic hit, we got Matty J into the Punkee office to spill the tea on all things Bachy-related, as well as throwing a few curveball questions his way – like what side of the Maxibon SHOULD we all be eating first?
When asked about his plans for 2020 (please note once again that this was filmed before Rona), Matty J said he was “probably going to try and get Laura pregnant again,” saying the couple had postponed their wedding plans for another year – which, in the end, turned out to be a smart idea.
Matty J also let us know his favourite Bachelor franchise moments (outside of his series of course), giving a special shoutout to Sam Wood and Ciarran Stott, before hailing his favourite ever moment as Ivan’s dance for Ali at the cocktail party… that was set to no music.
Ahhh, the good old days.
