Sam Frost Is Leaving ‘Home & Away’ & TBF Jasmine Has Probably Seen Enough
It’s been announced Sam Frost is leaving Home and Away after four years of playing Jasmine Delaney.
The news comes after Frost was temporarily written out of the long-running soap after admitting to not being vaccinated against COVID and then allegedly putting her vaccination off until January 2022 for personal reasons.
Frost stirred controversy when she took to Instagram to disclose her vaccination status in October, as Sydney was coming out of over 100 days of lockdown. “I was really hesitant about doing a video or even speaking up about this sort of thing, but I feel like it’s getting to a point now in the world where there’s a lot of segregation,” Frost said in her now-deleted Instagram video, before saying there were a “few reasons” why she wasn’t getting vaccinated and that she had spoken to her doctor and psychologist about it.
Frost later said she had been working with Channel 7 and Home and Away production and would be temporarily written out of the show while waiting for her vaccine in January after a medical procedure.
The Daily Telegraph has now reported Frost will be filming her final scenes as Jasmine today, and she’s taken to Instagram to upload a video with co-star and onscreen boyfriend Nick Cartwright, who shared the video across to his page with the caption “Celebrate”.
It’s worth noting that Frost has most recently written a book titled Believe so the caption could be in response to that.
Frost’s character on Home and Away, Jasmine Delaney, has had quite the journey during her time in the Bay and after four years we have no doubt Jas deserves a break from the trauma of dying husbands, police officer boyfriends, being sporadically kidnapped, and phantom pregnancies.
No word yet on how Jasmine will be written out of the show, but we’re not gonna lie: if it frees up Cash to be a single man again roaming around in the Bay shirtless and heartbroken, we’re not mad.
