As we (im)patiently await the return of Selling Sunset, there’s a new crew of realtors on the block from Orange County and it turns out that they’re just as chaotic as the brokers from Los Angeles’ sunset strip.

Selling The OC has recently dropped on Netflix, which is based at The Oppenheim Group’s agency in… you guessed it… Orange County. In the spin-off series, Jason Oppenheim pops up from time to time (that’s the twin who dated Chrishell Stause before she dated G Flip) but most of the drama revolves around the brokers who all happen to be named Alexandra.

I’m not joking.

The eight-episode season focuses heavily on Alex Hall who is part of one of the office’s cliques, and on the other side are her enemies: Alexandra Rose and Alexandra Jarvis (aka Rose and Jarvis).

Alex’s team is comprised of bubbly Brit Polly and the sassy Brandi, while newcomer Kayla flip-flops between the opposing teams. Then there’s the brokerage’s men (yes, there’s men on this season?!) like successful agent Gio who doesn’t want a bar of Alex’s mean girls crew, along with Tyler who loves to play fast and loose with the concept of being married. And he ain’t married to some random nobody either, Tyler is the husband of Hollywood good girl (and John Tucker Must Die living legend) Brittany Snow.

In the season’s turning point, some of the female agents turned on Kayla after she flirts with the married Tyler, which came as a shock to viewers after we watched Alex, Polly, and basically every woman being all over Tyler in every party scene. Up until this point, Alex, Polly, and Brandi had made out like they were all about good vibes and it was Rose and Jarvis bringing down the energy, but the scene where those three iced out Kayla in the office was an example of bullying at its worst.

And while the three queen bees of the office are acting like high school bullies, Rose and Jarvis are landing million dollar listings. The season saw an interesting dynamic unfold: while certain characters were introduced as the heroes and others the villains, by the end of the season these characters were subverted completely. After watching episode one, I know I thought Alex was going to be the most loved and relatable character, but this was not the case a few episodes in.

I’m excited for a potential Season 2! Hopefully, the series gets greenlit to return and until then, here are some truly relatable memes for anyone who just binged Selling The OC.
