Tahnee And Ollie Have Broken Up. But They’re Still Living Together…

The Punkee team went into full panic mode last night when we found out that Tahnee and Ollie – the cutest and last couple left standing from the last season of MAFS – had broken up

What do you mean they’ve ended?! They were so adorable?! Is love DEAD?!

But then we took a deep breath, thought beyond our silly little selves and listened to what the two people actually in the breakup had to say. And it was there that we found out that Tahnee and Ollie are navigating some awkwardness following their split.

You see, Tahnee and Ollie are living together, and their breakup hasn’t changed that.

Speaking on her podcast, Chuffed, Tahnee explained that thanks to their lease agreement and a little spanner in the works called ‘Cossie Livs’, the two have to keep living together. While breakups usually involve a period of staying-the-fuck-away-from-each-other, these two are going to have to navigate the lovers-turned-roommates trope straight off the bat.

For those who don’t know, Ollie actually relocated to Sydney to be with Tahnee after their final vows on Married At First Sight. He’s originally from Perth and so when he was relocating, the couple looked for a new apartment together – which is where they have been living for the last year or so.

Sticking together under the same roof after a split would probably be a no-go for most couples, but it seems like Tahnee and Ollie are on good terms. She spoke on her podcast that they really tried to make it work, even going to couples therapy to help manage the transition from MAFS to the real world, but some things just aren’t meant to be.

Ollie shared in his breakup statement that the goal is a friendship for the two of them, saying:

“In a post like this, the words ‘friend’ and ‘breakup’ are usually synonymous but with little truth behind them. However, if friendship was the foundation of us before love, I like to think it might be something we can share in the aftermath.”

And based on the video he shared of the two of them on the night before their breakup announcement, we’re gonna say that they’ll manage their exes-living-together era just fine.
