Adrian & Joey Have Broken Their Silence After Being Dumped On ‘The Bacheloretteā Finale
Well, if you could even believe it, The Bachelorette finale has finally come to an end, and thank goodness for that.
Some of you are grateful that it’s over, some of you are wondering what to do next with your life and some of you are making very calculated statements to your fanbases, because how you act now is crucial to whether your 15 minutes of fame gets an extension. We’re looking at you Adrian Baena and Joe Woodbury.
And really, if we’ve learnt anything from Anthony Callea and Jessica Mauboy’s fate on Australian Idol, it’s that second place is really where it’s at. So let’s turn our heads to the runners-up.
Yes, both runner-ups of The Bachelorette have made statements on social media regarding their time with Elly and Becky Miles. Let’s break down everything they said, starting with Joe.
Joe Woodbury
Who would’ve thought that the boy who knew the princess before the ball, wouldn’t end up with her in the end? After Elly broke traditional Bachy protocol to breakup with Joe, hearts around Australia broke for the boy-next-door. But now that The Bachelorette finale is done and dusted, Joe has got nothing but positive things to say about Elly and we love to see it.
In an Instagram post, he said: “Sometimes things don’t work out, no matter how much we want them to, and that’s just life. I’ve said from the beginning of this whole experience that I’m a firm believer of fate, and that everything happens for a reason, and for me this means that it hasn’t been my fate to find love here. I hold my head high knowing I stuck by who I am, and know that I put everything on the table with how I felt.
“Cannot thank everyone enough for their messages of love and support, from my family and friends to people I haven’t even met before, you’ve all helped me through this experience and for that I am so grateful.
“To both Elly and Becky, you are both incredible women and carried yourself so well throughout the entire journey, you both deserve great things and I truly hope you find what you are after in life! For me, this means that my search for love continues.”

Turning our eyes to the next runner-up, after The Bachelorette finale, Adrian also had nothing but positive things to say about his experience. Absolute gentlemen, the lot of ’em!
In an Instagram post, he thanked Becky, Elly, Channel 10, and of course, the boys. He said, “First off I would like to thank Channel 10, Warner Brothers, and all the crew involved, you guys were awesome!” He continued, “To the boys! Couldn’t have asked for a better bunch of lads, you know I love you all and I’ll see you guys soon. YTB!!”
“(Elly) it was such a pleasure to have shared this journey with you. I wish you and Frazer all the best. Just don’t go trespassing anymore.”
“Finally (Becky), you are an amazing person thank you for being so honest and true to yourself. I’ve never experienced such a unique connection before and although I really thought I’d found my person, this heartbreak isn’t going to stop me from picking up the pieces and trying again. To find love, you truly have to let yourself be vulnerable, let those walls down, and give it your all.
