The Three Bachelors Spill All The Tea About The New Season
New year, new us, and in better news — new Bachelors.
That’s right, The Bachelors premieres tonight and the reality show has gotten a BIG shakeup this season. Not only are we following the journey of three men looking for love instead of just one, but the dates and drama will take place in a snazzy new Gold Coast location with the cocktail parties and rose ceremonies to be triple the fun and triple the chaos.
Thomas Malucelli, Felix Von Hofe, and Jed McIntosh are this year’s leading Bachelors and they couldn’t be more different — but they’ve forged an unbreakable bond as they’ve navigated finding love together.
“We’re literally really good friends, and I love them,” Thomas told Punkee of his fellow Bachys.
While we eagerly await all the drama to hit our screens, we sat down with the three charming, handsome, and very tall men, to talk about the new season and tackle some rumours head on too.
Thomas, Felix, and Jed spill all the tea on the upcoming season of The Bachelors.
On their first impressions of each other:
Thomas: “Jed… he turned out to be an incredible person and friend. And Felix, same thing. We’re literally really good friends, and I love them.”
Felix: “Thomas, I thought I have no chance here when he rolled in with the Italian accent. Jed, I thought… I should be doing alright, at least I’m the second best looking one.”
Jed: “At first I didn’t know there were going to be the other two but I assumed, because I thought there was no way they were going to risk having just me on the show. So I saw Felix and I thought I was tall before I met him. Then I saw Thomas next and I thought, these guys are just beautiful men and I was absolutely shitting myself and I thought I had no chance. But then I heard them open their mouths and thought I am absolutely fine.”
On who the biggest softie is:
Felix: “Thomas is the biggest softie! I texted Thomas pretending to be drunk at the airport and even at one point saying I was engaged in activities on the Krispy Kreme stand and the poor guy believed it so much he almost called the producers.”
On which Bachy is the biggest party animal:
Thomas: “Felix, 100%!”
Jed: “THANK YOU!”
On who gives the best advice:
Felix: “I like to go to Jed and it’s led me astray. Thomas is the most loving gentlemen you’ll ever find and although he may think too deeply at times, it’s good advice, you just need to pick between the shit.”
On whether the process of The Bachelor works and if they found love on the show:
Jed: “Yes it does, and yes I did!”
Felix: “I think the process works. If you can’t go on a show with that many women and at least find some sort of connection *cough Honey Badger cough*, then you’re probably struggling.”
Thomas: “The process definitely works… if I found love or not, you’re going to have to tune in!”
On their love lives pre-Bachelors:
Thomas: “I was in a relationship for 8.5 years and then I took two years off to focus on myself, so I was very out of the game. I was on dating apps, I went on so many dates before The Bachelors and got used to dating again, then I forgot to turn my apps off!”
Jed: “I think I never found someone that I really clicked with and given the industry I work in, it’s quite hard because I travel a lot so I always ran into issues with people not being able to deal with long distance.”
Felix: “I usually hung around Revs [in Melbourne] for 20-30 hours. And then I stumbled outside and hopefully there was someone with me. But apparently that’s not the best way to find a wife, so I’ve tried to get a little more romantic with the help of the show and Osher.”
And finally, on the rumours that have plagued them since they were announced as The Bachelors.
Jed on the spoiling the ending rumours:
It was alleged last year that Jed was out on the town telling people he didn’t find love on the show. “No it’s not true!” Jed told Punkee. “It’s not true at all.”
Felix on the Stephanie Lynch rumours:
Felix was spotted in a happy snap with ex-Bachy contestant Stephanie Lynch, sparking rumours that the pair were more than just friends.
“Now this one is from old Stephanie’s part. She comes up and says, ‘can I please get a photo?’ and I say ‘yes, that’s fine’. Bang, takes a photo. Two second interaction and then it’s in the magazines,” he said. “So no, I have not been cosying up with Stephanie Lynch!”
And Thomas on whether he’s part of a MLM scheme:
Thomas is a restaurant manager turned “transformation and lifestyle specialist” which kind of screams pyramid scheme. When we asked him about it all, this is what he had to say:
“It is true, however, I love to call it network marketing company which is different from a scheme.”
Fair enough!
