We’ve Uncovered The Identities Of ‘The Masked Singer’ Final Three
As another season of The Masked Singer comes to a close, we can be thankful that we were here to witness a giant Popcorn, Rooster, and Zombie living together in harmony like the show’s God (aka Osher Günsberg) intended it.
It’s been a fun season! Made even better from getting to know the fresh faces on the judging panel: Abbie Chatfield, Mel B, Chrissie Swan, and the slightly more stale, Dave Hughes.
This year’s season has unmasked a whole host of celebs: Pia Miranda, Matt Preston, Ryan Moloney, Lisa Curry, Jamie Durie, Emma Watkins, Sam Sparro, Shannon Noll, Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams, and (rather randomly) Tori Spelling.
But who the hell are under the final three masks? Who are Mirrorball, Rooster, and Snapdragon? Based on weeks of analysing clues, we reckon we have all the answers.
We’ve uncovered the identities of the final three celebrities on The Masked Singer:
Mirrorball is Melody Thornton
Every Mirrorball clue can be connected to former Pussycat Doll, Melody Thornton. There was a photo of Uma Thurman and John Travolta, who starred together in movie Be Cool. Surprise, surprise? The Pussycat Dolls had an uncredited role in the same movie.
The mask joked that they have “been on thin ice” before which is a likely callback to the time Melody appeared on Dancing On Ice. In another clue, Mirrorball said “Finding a good man is hard, I looked everywhere,” as an actor proposed to them but Mirrorball pushed them away. Melody took part in UK reality TV show Celebs Go Dating and in one episode, her date proposed to her and she had to reject him.

– too many cooks (left the pussycat girls)
– The breakfast at Tiffany pic (she was almost named Tiffany)
– the lipstick (her song Lipstick & Guilt)#MaskedSingerAU— Leon Sjogren (@Leonsjogren) August 21, 2022
In another clue package, there was a baby doll which happens to be Melody’s nickname while she was in the Pussycat Dolls because she was the youngest in the group. Mirrorball once quipped “Am I on a vendetta?” which is referencing Melody’s 2011 solo song, ‘Sweet Vendetta’.

Rooster is Hugh Sheridan
At first this mask was a head-scratcher, but slowly it’s become clear that it is Packed to the Rafters star, Hugh Sheridan. For one of the Rooster clues, the mask said, “Here we are at number four, it’s a good number.” And guess what? Hugh has won four Logie Awards.
In another clue, Rooster stood in front of a blackboard with a photo of Liza Minelli and a map of Nepal on it. In their younger years, Hugh opened a show for Liza Minelli. In 2015, the singer visited Nepal to find their brother who went missing after being caught in an earthquake.
Rooster: Hugh Sheridan
– born in Adelaide
– seven siblings
– Father a singer, sister a radio jock
– AFL Port Adl footy fan
– moonlights caberet
– brother in Nepal earthquake
– hosted "I will survive" outback reality show

In another clue, Rooster said “I am Rooster and when love speaks, I listen. Isn’t that romantic?” This is too easy: Hugh released an album in 2009 called Speak Love and they had a role in Rebel Wilson’s rom-com Isn’t It Romantic.

Snapdragon is Sheldon Riley
The voice alone is simply Eurovision superstar, Sheldon Riley. Also “By George, I’m going to win The Masked Singer,” was a huge clue. Sheldon auditioned for The Voice with a Culture Club song, and he chose Boy George to be his coach.
In another clue, the mask said, “Snapdragons may not breathe fire, but we are determined.” Sheldon’s first single was titled ‘Fire’. In another clue, Snapdragon asked, “Maybe you think all snapdragons are the same? We’re not.” Sheldon literally has a song called ‘Not The Same’.
Sheldon Riley as the Snapdragon
– Boy George was his mentor on the voice
– Australian and Philippino flags for his heritage
– Sung Queen’s the Show Must Go On on the Voice

Snapdragon said in one clue “my childhood was quite golden” and Sheldon grew up on the Gold Coast. In another package, the mask said, “As a Snapdragon, you never know what you’ll be asked to do. One day the public showers you with love and the next you’re heading for a downfall.” This could be referencing Sheldon being selected to represent Australia at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest, where he ended up only placing 15th.
In the most obvious clue, there was a large shell next to a photo of Don Bradman in a clue package. Get it? Shell…Don. Sheldon. Y’all are trolling us with these easy clues! We see you!
