Rating All The Naughty Scenes From ‘365 Days’ With My Mum
It’s no secret that 365 Days is one of the spiciest films on Netflix, but would you sit through its naughty scenes with your mother?
Watching films with sex scenes can get really awkward, especially if your family is present. I vividly remember when I chucked on Not Another Teen Movie during a family get together, and the first scene was literally someone masturbating. I was completely mortified!
Usually, when I watch something with my mum, it’s some form of Filipino drama or musical. But we’re doing sex week on Punkee, so I decided to make things super uncomfortable and give 365 Days a squiz.
If you’ve never heard of this movie, the plot follows Massimo Torricelli, the boss of the Sicilian Mafia, who kidnaps the successful Laura, aiming to make her fall in love with him within 365 days and while the plot is totally bizarre, the relationship between the two really heats up.
The steamy Netflix movie has two sequels, 365: This Day and The Next 365 Days, and they’re just as horny as the first one.
So in the spirit of Punkee’s sex week, I decided to show my mother this movie. Keep in my mind, she’s an immigrant from the Philippines who grew up religious and was born in a time where the topic of sex was taboo, so I knew her commentary and opinions would be all kinds of amusing.
Here are the naughty scenes from the horny 365 Days flick, rated by my mum and I:
1. Blowjobs, blowjobs, and blowjobs.
I could not stop giggling, not because of the embarrassment of watching this with my mother, but the faces???? To give you a bit of context, in separate parts of the world, Massimo and Laura are getting it on, with Massimo receiving a blow job and Laura masturbating.
The music in this scene was quite intense, which kinda made the scene hilarious. It was also a bit difficult to see what Laura was doing cause her scenes were quite dark.
Mum’s Thoughts: “I’m not use to this…I’m not into it! Yuck! I’m just wondering why they have to show both of them (masturbating) Why is this relevant?”
After she said this, I had to catch her up on what happened in the first 15 minutes of the film. Facebook was a massive distraction to her during our viewing but I think this scene may have sucked her in.
Scene rating: 3/10.
2. “Are you lost, baby girl?”
Okay, okay. This is not a sex scene at all, BUT we just had to add it in. The “are you lost, baby girl” line is absolutely iconic, and synonymous to 365 Days. The way Massimo just kinda pops up out of nowhere is very reminiscent of Freddy Krueger, but more funny than terrifying.
Mum’s thoughts: “Scary.”
Scene rating: We didn’t exactly rate this, obviously because it was more of a reoccurring phrase Massimo says, but Mum did say it was giving jump scare vibes.
3. Shower tease scene, aka my neck now hurts.
This sexy shower scene takes place the morning after Laura and Massimo have a lavish dinner. During the dinner, Massimo asked Laura to “teach him to be gentle,” and it seems like Laura may have changed her perspective of Massimo.
Laura, who woke up first, headed to their shower, stripping down and teasing Massimo a little bit here and there. Massimo watched as she bathed herself and he soon followed her in. Things get steamy as the pair share some intense eye contact, but Massimo soon discovers that it was all a tease on Laura’s end.
As she leaves Massimo grabs her by the neck and warns her to not “provoke him.”
First, off…LOOK AT THIS GRAB??? THE NECK. DECEASED.
This scene is the first time we see full nudity between the two main characters, so it was super awkward to watch with my mum… BUT we push on.
Mum’s thoughts: “Wow look at the body… Nice toilet and shower.”
Scene rating: We ultimately ranked the scene as a 7/10.
4. The plane (part 2).
Right after the shower scene, Massimo took Laura onto a plane where they headed to another location for more Mafia business. OFC Laura does not agree, so they tied her and her hands up during the flight.
For the inflight entertainment, Laura is teased by Massimo. It’s nothing too crazy, but still kinda naughty for us regular people who fly economy and could NOT get away with this frisky business.
Mum’s thoughts: “There’s just teasing!…Did he just high five his colleague without washing his hands? Now everyone’s hands smell like pek pek!”
BTW, pek pek is Tagalog for vagina.
Scene rating: Because of the sanitary issues, 3/10.
5. Massimo forces Laura to watch.
Before they headed out to one of Massimo’s club, the Mafia boss forced Laura to witness what she was missing by hiring a sex worker to give him a blowjob while she was chained up.
The scene got even more intense, because it almost seemed like Laura was gonna let Massimo in, but she didn’t, leaving him frustrated AF.
Laura being a cuck was definitely something I did not expect in the film, because I honestly thought that Massimo would’ve felt bad for getting with another girl.
Mum’s thoughts: During the light BDSM scene, Massimo kinda hung over Laura. Within that scene my mum asked, “is he gonna start dancing now?” Unfortunately not.
Scene rating: We ranked this scene 6/10.
6. Getting frisky in the club.
Straight after that cuck scene, Laura, Massimo, and the Mafia gang hit the clubs! To get back at Massimo, Laura had dressed herself up with a high ponytail and a short sequin dress.
Her new look looked similar to that gorg sex worker that Massimo hired to make her jealous. As Laura teases Massimo one more time, Massimo pulls her to the side, warning her again to not provoke him. She ends up getting rowdy and dancing with a rival Mafia gang member, which resulted in Massimo shooting one of them and possibly starting a Mafia war.
The little ass grab in the club was quite saucy, the ponytail was definitely giving Ariana Grande, and Laura was being a dangerous woman, so it fits!
Mum’s thoughts: “No thoughts….(Bek) Do you watch this stuff all the time?”
Scene rating: Not me being called out! But overall she rated the clubbing scene a 3/10.
7. The boat.
After Massimo pioneered the Mafia war, they ended up on a boat where Laura apologises for her actions. She then gives into her horny desires and the pair go on a massive f*ckfest. Different angles, positions, and moans. It was just a very horny scene.
Because this was the biggest sex scene of the film, my mum and I talked so much to fill the silence between the damn moans of Laura and Massimo.
Mum’s thoughts: “Oh my God! Her back is gonna break!….Now they’re taking it outside…I can see the panties! It’s so fake!”
Scene rating: With the boat scene being the horniest scene, it deserves a 10/10.
8. Bouncing on balls after the ball.
After they went to a ball and Laura is confronted by Anna, who is Massimo’s ex, the pair share a passionate moment against a steamy bathroom mirror. This scene is also the first time Massimo tells Laura that he loves her. A very short and sweet scene.
Scene rating: Mum didn’t have any thoughts on this scene, but she did mention that she could tell that Massimo really had love for Laura. 7/10.
9. A proposal in Poland.
This was the last sex scene of 365 Days. It comes after Laura arrived in Warsaw without Massimo, where she is left in the dark about him and his whereabouts.
She then links up with her bestie Olga, who was there on the night of her kidnapping. After Laura confessed everything to Olga and tells her everything she’s been through, Olga takes Laura for a makeover.
The pair then hit the club and get absolutely sloshed. Laura then bumped into her ex, Martin, who follows her home. Laura and Martin argue and as she opened her apartment door, she is greeted with Massimo’s presence.
Massimo’s presence scares away Martin away, and after Martin leaves Laura and Massimo have mad, passionate sex. The next morning, Massimo proposes to Laura and it seems like things are looking up for the Mafia couple.
This scene was quite raw and passionate, just like the ball sex scene, and we loved it!
Mum’s thoughts: “I liked this one because in comparison to the first scene, they’re together! But I can see the panties again so it feels fake!”
Scene rating: 7/10
Conclusion: Did I traumatise my mum with this sex flick? Hmmm….
365 Days was honestly a fun watch, and past the sex scenes, we found the Mafia story to be quite interesting. 365 Days on our scale gets a glowing rating of 7/10! But maybe watch it separately from your mama, or just skip to the Mafia bits.
