Carolina And Daniel From ‘MAFS’ Confirm Split Because When It Rains It Pours
It’s officially breakup season for Season 9’s Married At First Sight couples, as controversial couple Daniel Holmes and Carolina Santos have called it quits via Daniel confirming the split on Instagram.
Daniel and Carolina, who met on this year’s season of the chaotic dating show, had always been controversial. They became the season’s ‘cheating couple’ after they were romantically linked while Carolina was still matched with reality TV hubby Dion Giannarelli. And as the show came to a close, the couple confirmed they were dating after the pair were spotted getting cosy together in public.
Overnight, Daniel shared an Instagram statement confirming that the pair were no longer together and haven’t been for a while. “I think it’s been obvious for a while we have gone our separate ways,” the post reads. “There’s no right way to deal with these situations.”
The statement was originally deleted or archived a couple of minutes after posting, but it is now back up on his account (for now).
In the post, Daniel wished Carolina all the best, despite their relationship not working out after the show. Personally, I was quite shocked by this announcement as it seemed that Carolina was extremely supportive of Daniel during his boxing training.
As recent as July, Daniel and Carolina both posted about each other. Carolina shared a video from their time on MAFS and Daniel posted a reel of him and Carolina shadow boxing. Both captions also suggested that the pair were still together, with Daniel calling her “babe” and Carolina mentioning that she was in LOVE with Daniel.

Although there’s no statement Carolina, she did post a bikini pic at the end of July with a caption that appears to be referencing the split. The caption reads: “Smile and no one will see how broken you are inside”.

The split was announced by Daniel on the same day that Olivia Frazer and Jackson Lonie confirmed their breakup.
As it stands, there are no successful couples from Season 9 of Married At First Sight. Yikes.
