I’m A Celebrity will crown its winner on Sunday night’s finale and while the bulk of the season was pre-filmed, viewers will get to decide who the jungle king or queen will be for 2021.

Up until Thursday night’s episode, it was unclear how the public would get to vote for the winner. As this season was the first to not be filmed live, contestants were eliminated based on challenges rather than popularity. This meant that viewers had zero say in who our final seven would be, but tbh, it’s a decent pool of celebrities to choose from.

The final seven are: Grant Denyer, Jess Eva, Toni Pearen, Abbie Chatfield, Colin Fassnidge, Travis Varcoe, and Ash Williams.

Thankfully, the winner will be chosen by viewers. Voting lines are open, so what are you waiting for?

According to Sportsbet, the overwhelming favourite to win is Grant. This makes sense, as the Family Feud host is, arguably, the most famous face on the whole show. But the celeb who the betting company reckon has the second highest chance of winning is Jess, a person who many viewers probably didn’t know, but she’s managed to charm us all with her hilarious banter and caring nature.

The contestant with the worst odds to win is Ash. Well, well, well. This is unsurprising and I have no problem with this. So, while we know who is likely to win the show, who should win is another matter.

We Ranked Who Should Win I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here:

7. Ash Williams

Almost all of Ash’s I’m A Celebrity experience has been shit-talking other women. Firstly, he whinged to the boys that he regretted sharing a bed with Abbie, because new arrival Alli Simpson was more his type. He didn’t actually consider whether Alli was remotely interested in him, as I guess this didn’t register at the time. Then he spoke about Pettifleur Berenger’s advances, which she later claimed affected her “reputation“. Finally, he continued to tell the boys that Abbie was just a friend, even after sharing a steamy kiss. If this is our 2021 Bachelor, we demand a refund.

6. Toni Pearen

I love Toni. As the camp’s resident mum, she offered a shoulder to cry on for her campmates, while sharing her struggles missing her family at home. She also got bitten on the face by snakes. Toni has been through enough! This being said, she hasn’t been a super entertaining celeb, so I don’t think she’s earned the crown.

5. Travis Varcoe

Travis is a gentle king and I feel blessed that we got to know him better from seeing him on this show. From his hilarious stand-up routine, to sharing the story of the devastating death of his sister, along with lifting the lid on the racism he’s faced in the AFL, Travis has offered the show so much.

4. Jess Eva

Jess is an icon. In a less competitive I’m A Celebrity season, she would have had this win in the bag. She is entertaining-as-hell, truly hilarious, a body-positive queen, and by far, she’s the one contestant who seems the most down-to-earth.

Give this woman her own reality show.

3. Grant Denyer

Grant is the obvious winner, and to be fair, he did give a lot to this season. His confessionals dominated the episodes, as he spoke about his monster truck accident, being embroiled in tabloid controversies, while also touching on how he struggles to fully be himself at times. It was all rather illuminating, and at the same time, he was hilarious and offered his campmates plenty of guidance.

2. Colin Fassnidge

I’m obsessed with Colin! He has it all: he’s kind, he’s funny, he has an accent, and he’s hot! As the camp’s cook, he played a major part in keeping everyone fed, while telling hilarious stories to keep everyone’s spirits high. He also showed a more serious side, when he spoke about his dad’s dementia, and his experiences being body-shamed in the entertainment industry. My favourite part was the father role he took on looking out for Abbie, which leads me to our number one pick…

1. Abbie Chatfield

QUEEN! Abbie has not had an easy run when it comes to how she’s come across on reality TV. On The Bachelor, she was given the villain’s edit. On Bachelor In Paradise, she was characterised as some kind of femme fatale, who was obsessed with Ciarran Stott. But finally, on I’m A Celebrity viewers got a glimpse of the real Abbie.

The moment when Abbie said that Colin was the first male figure in her life to say he was proud of her still makes me well up. Abbie has proven herself to be an amazing competitor: she has the memory skills of an elephant, she turned being slut-shamed by Dipper into a teachable moment, and she’s been a constant joy to watch.

Give. Abbie. The. Crown. If you come for the queen, you best not miss.

The I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! finale kicks off on Channel 10 at 7:30pm on Sunday.
