The Trailer For ‘Love Is Blind: After The Altar’ Is Here With New Couples And Drama
Netflix has just released the trailer for Love Is Blind: After The Altar, and boy oh boy, it looks like we’re getting a bunch of drama and potentially some new couples out of the Season 2 contestants.
ICYMI, the Season 2 Love Is Blind cast has been making waves in the news recently after Iyanna McNeely and Jarrette Jones revealed they were splitting up and getting a divorce. A couple of days later, rumours swirled that Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson were also calling it quits after Danielle filed for divorce.
These two couples were the only ones to officially tie the knot on the 2022 season and honestly, the news made me lose faith in love. But it looks like more drama is about to come with After The Altar, involving the other Season 2 cast members.
Watch the Love Is Blind: After The Altar trailer below before we unpack the drama and the new romances to come:
Love is Blind Season 2… where are they now?

Firstly, the Natalie, Shayne and Shaina drama continues. To give you a quick TL;DR on these three: during Season 2, Shayne made connections with both Natalie and Shaina. Natalie and Shayne did end up getting engaged, and were one of the five couples to make it to the wedding, but the couple got into a huge fight and split on the day of their wedding. Shaina also got engaged to Kyle but that was short-lived, as they split after their honeymoon.
Shaina made moves on Shayne consistently throughout the experiment, which was chaotic to witness.
Shayne and Shaina forged a deep connection in the pods but they each got engaged to someone else. Now they come face to face for the first time.

The drama continued after the show when Shayne jumped on the podcast The Viall Files where he claimed he had only spoken to Natalie four times since they split at the altar. However, Natalie fired back at this claim on Instagram, saying it was only two times. She also wrote that she wouldn’t forgive Shayne for his actions during and after Love Is Blind.
It looks like the drama is going to be turned all the way up in After The Altar with Natalie calling Shaina the “other woman.” In the trailer, we also see Shaina and Shayne meeting up to talk about how Natalie is telling the other cast that she found inappropriate texts between them. Kyle also labelled Natalie as an “instigator”.
We also got to see Jarette and Iyanna talk about their marriage woes which would lead to their eventual divorce. In the trailer, we hear Jarette saying, “Marriage is not easy. If anyone tried to tell you this, it is a lie.” Both parties haven’t said much about their divorce since the joint statement, but I think that in this catch-up season we might get an answer as to why things didn’t work out.
On the brighter side of things, it looks like Deepti is getting another shot at love, this time with Kyle, who was savagely rejected by Shaina last season.
During her run on Season 2, Deepti was engaged to Shake, who was dragged for his treatment of his fiancé. He body-shamed women in the pods and even compared Deepti to his aunty at one point in the season. Deepti dumped Shake at the altar, and for me personally it definitely goes down as one of the best public dumpings in reality TV history.

In the Season 2 reunion, Kyle expressed his regret for not proposing to Deepti instead of Shaina. “I should’ve asked Deepti to marry me,” he said. “I should’ve tried harder for you [Deepti]. I mean I love her. She’s the best.” Kyle also criticised Shake’s treatment of Deepti, calling it a “wasted opportunity.”
We’re really banking on this Love Is Blind spin-off giving Deepti the love story she deserves!
It looks like Love Is Blind: After The Altar is gonna quench my thirst for drama and romance, so I’m here for it.
Mostly just for Deepti tbh.
