Another Couple From ‘Love Is Blind’ Is Getting A Divorce And I’ve Lost All Hope For Love
Love Is Blind’s Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson are getting a divorce, which means no one from Season 2 is together anymore and that love truly doesn’t exist.
Netflix’s Love Is Blind allows contestants to fall in love inside pods without seeing each other’s faces or doing any other forms of physical flirting. It’s only after becoming engaged that couples can finally see each other in the flesh.
Danielle and Nick met on the second season of the show and were known to be one of the most chaotic pairings, with Danielle being extroverted and Nick being on the complete opposite end of the spectrum. The pair were one of the only couples to get married in Season 2.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Danielle was the one to file for divorce against Nick, but neither person has officially come out to confirm the breakup news. The split, however, does come as a surprise, as the pair were seen together at the Lollapalooza at the start of August.
Earlier this month, Nick also shared a throwback pic of the pair at the beach, so it seemed like the couple were still on good terms.

The twosome had previously spoke about seeking couples counselling earlier this year, with Nick telling People “We’ve put frameworks in place for communication. We’ve had to force ourselves through some conversations [about] what we actually need in that moment and [have] worked on being able to articulate that.”
Despite neither party coming out to confirm the divorce, fans are already flooding their Instagram posts with messages of support for the reality stars. One fan with the username @Stressed0ut wrote on Danielle’s most recent post, “I’m probably not helping by commenting about it, but I’m sorry the news broke before you were able to address it yourselves. Sending you good thoughts, confidence and hope during this rough time.”
Fans were already hit with divorce news last week after Iyanna McNeely and Jarette Jones’ divorce bombshell. The Season 2 pair announced their divorce a couple days ago in a joint Instagram statement.
The post confirmed that Iyanna and Jarette had separated, as it read “While we have love for each other, our lives are going in different directions.” But despite the failed relationship, the pair do not regret their experience on the reality TV dating show.

With the recent news of Danielle and Nick’s divorce, unfortunately Season 2 created no successful couples. I’m not gonna lie, the breakup frenzy is really giving us Season 9 Married At First Sight flashbacks where both Olivia Frazer and Jackson Lonie and Caroline Santos and Daniel Holmes announced their breakups on the same day.
We send both couples all the best in this trying time. For fans who are still in heartbreak shock, do not fret, because Netflix has confirmed that Season 3 of Love Is Blind is set to premiere later this year and we pray that a lot more couples come out of the next experiment.
