‘Love Island’ Fans Are Not Over Tak’s Eviction And Honestly, Same

Love Island’s resident rapper Tak Chipangura has been evicted from the villa, and TBH it does NOT sit right with me at all!

Right off the bat of Love Island AU’s very first Ex-Week, islanders were rocked with a recoupling ceremony that saw the eviction of a male contestant. To make a long story short, returning islander and last year’s winner, Tina Provis, chose to couple with walking red flag, Callum, over loverboy, Tak.

Like myself, a lot of fans ran to Twitter to share their thoughts and reactions on Tak’s elimination on Monday night:

Unfortunately, Tak’s journey in the villa wasn’t easy. He entered the reality TV dating show as a bombshell, alongside Callum and was paired with a bunch of contestants, including Holly, Maddy, and Stella, but he never found a true connection.

In one of the most emotional moments on Love Island, Tak got candid about how he felt when bombshell Vakoo didn’t choose him at a coupling ceremony. To make it a bit more awkward, Vakoo also picked Callum.

“Not really being selected as a number one pick and sort of always being in the background sorta gets to you a little bit,” Tak said in the beach hut.

After Callum asked him if he was okay, Tak vented all his emotions in a tearful one-on-one conversation.

“I feel disconnected,” Tak said. “It’s like, you’re in a room full of people, and you don’t really exist.

Since then, a lot of fans have expressed their appreciation towards Tak because of the way he shared his emotions and feelings on national television. He basically became a Love Island fave.

We will truly miss you, Tak, and as Claudia said, you are a “shining diamond”, and don’t you ever forget that!

Love Island streams on 9Now and 9Go!, Monday to Thursday at 6pm.
