I hate the idea of ‘guilty pleasures’. You shouldn’t feel shame or guilt for wanting to lose yourself in pleasure and sometimes you just want to watch a super horny TV show or film to get in the mood.

A lot of these kinds of entertainment are often dismissed as trashy or frivolous, but is there anything wrong with that? Clearly there’s a massive market for it given the success of 365 Days on Netflix, the 2020 phenomenon that has since spawned two sequels.

To celebrate 365 Days dropping its third film, we’ve selected some sexy TV shows and movies to watch when you’re horny because this is a judgement-free zone. Get sexy!

TV Shows

Sex/Life, Netflix

This 2021 series became a sensation when it dropped, drawing in a lot of horny women along with some slightly baffled by the authenticity of one of the raunchier scenes. The eight-episode series is based on the book 44 Chapters About 4 Men by BB Easton, which follows the romantic and erotic pursuits of Billie (Sarah Shahi), a suburban housewife who starts fantasising about the most wild sexual exploits from her past, namely her time with her toxic ex, Brad, as played by Australian actor Adam Demos.

Normal People, Stan

Another book adaption, but this one is arguably just as good as the book. This Sally Rooney-inspired series retells the bumpy love story of Irish on/off couple Connor (Paul Mascal) and Marianne (Daisy Edgar-Jones) who met in high school. This is a complex story of how sometimes life gets in the way of love, but it also features loads of sex scenes so we won’t judge you if you fast-forward to the sexy bits.

Insecure, Binge

When people are looking to watch a sexy show, typically the plot/writing doesn’t matter too much. However, if you want a truly enthralling TV series with a generous side of sex then you can’t go past Insecure. The series was created by and stars Issa Rae as one of the two leading ladies: Issa and Molly (Yvonne Orji) attempt to navigate dating in LA as two African-American women, and scattered throughout the show’s five seasons are some hot-as-hell sex scenes.

What/If, Netflix

It doesn’t look like this Netflix series is getting another season so it’s time to just enjoy this stand-alone show in all its sexy and strange glory. Renée Zellweger stars as Anne, a wealthy woman who offers money to mystery brunette Lisa (Jane Levy), a scientist on the edge of a breakthrough. What’s the catch? Anne wants a night alone with Lisa’s baseball star-turned-paramedic-turned-firefighter husband, Sean (Blake Jenner).

The Girlfriend Experience, Stan

If you like your sexy shows a little less trashy (see above) and a little more arthousy, then The Girlfriend Experience is for you. This anthology series follows a different story each season, with Season 1 revolving around student Christine who while struggling to stay financially afloat doing an internship decides to become an escort. She works under the pseudonym Chelsea and starts to specialise in providing “the girlfriend experience” aka an array of services to make her clients feel both sexually and emotionally satisfied.

Movies

The Handmaiden, Amazon Prime

If you’re looking for a carefree, feel-good film, this ain’t it. The Handmaiden is a disturbing psychological thriller about a Japanese woman who hires a handmaiden without realising that she’s invited someone into her home who is out to defraud her. This film is very dark at times, but it does feature some pretty explicit sex scenes between the two female characters.

You and the Night, Stan

This French erotic-comedy will probably leave your mouth ajar from start to end for being simultaneous funny and shocking. The plot follows a young couple preparing for a midnight orgy, with a bevy of guests with nicknames ranging from The Slut to The Stud. My tip: it’s best just to let the weirdness wash over you without questioning it too much.

Call Me By Your Name, Amazon Prime

This is a modern classic for good reason. If you can get past Armie Hammer’s ‘cannibal’ controversy, then this is a touching story of 17-year-old Elio (Timothée Chalamet) falling for an older man (Hammer) while living with his family in Northern Italy.

Deadly Illusions, Netflix

This erotic thriller is bonkers. The film features Kristin Davis as a renowned crime novelist Mary, who hires a mysterious young woman to take care of her children so she can focus on her next book. The movie also stars Dermot Mulroney as Mary’s husband Tom, and the couple both become enamoured with their new babysitter.

Fifty Shades Trilogy, Binge

If you’re a fan of the 365 Days movies, then there’s no going past the horny trilogy that started it all: 50 Shades. Based on the E. L. James novels, these movies revolve around college graduate Anastasia (Dakota Johnson), as she begins a sadomasochistic relationship with rich businessman Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan).
