Everything You Need To Know About ‘The Amazing Race’ Celebrity Edition
Survivor Australia fans get ready, because King George has been spotted filming The Amazing Race Celebrity Edition in Delhi, India! There’s quite a few famous celebs on the show, and we can’t wait to see them battle it out for the win.
Since it’s a celebrity cast, the contestants aren’t fighting to take home the $100,000 prize for themselves. Instead, they’ve nominated a charity of their choice. The stakes are high, and Channel 10 has teased that there will be “pit stops and detours” that have “never [been] experienced before”. Consider me prepped for a blindside.

Here’s everything you need to know about The Amazing Race Australia 2023:
Which celebrities are competing in The Amazing Race Australia 2023?
George Mladenov and his sister Pamela
We’re proud to say that Punkee uncovered George’s appearance on The Amazing Race Australia before it was announced – although our bid for a George and Simon pairing was sadly overlooked. Regardless, the King is back and it’ll be fun to see his dynamic with his younger sister, who he’s playing with.
“People can expect George and I to have tantrums, drama [and] meltdowns,” Pam said. “What’s going to bring us together is the fact that we’re bonded by blood, and this is something that we’ll be able to share for a lifetime.”
The “King of Bankstown” has chosen the Bankstown Women’s Health Centre as the pair’s charity.
Alli Simpson and her mum Angie
Pop star and media personality Alli Simpson is competing in The Amazing Race Australia alongside her “momager” Angie. The mother-daughter pair are competing for Dementia Australia, and there’s a bittersweet reason why.
“My grandma, my dad’s mum Chrissie has gone down really fast with dementia in the last few years,” Alli said. “We just want to do as much as we can to prevent other families [from] feeling the pain that we do.”
Grant Denyer and his wife Chezzi
Media personality Grant Denyer has been on an insane number of reality TV shows. He’s competed on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, Dancing with the Stars (twice), The Chase Australia and Deal or No Deal.
This time he’s paired up with his wife Chezzi – the celebrity couple are racing on behalf of Lifeline Central West, who they have previously worked with.
Harry Jowsey and his mate Teddy Briggs
Too Hot to Handle’s Harry Jowsey has teamed up with Love Island’s Teddy Briggs, and we’re expecting some high-quality banter from these two lads.
“I can’t guarantee that we are going to be the best at this, but I can guarantee that it will be fun to watch,” Teddy joked, while Harry described their team as “two hopeless idiots”.
The reality TV stars are trying to take home the prize for mental health charity Beyond Blue.
Bec Judd and her sister Kate Twigley
Model-influencer Bec Judd and her sister Kate Twigley have been fans of the franchise since high school, and promise to be “highly competitive”.
Their chosen charity is Impatient Advocacy – A Nicole Cooper Foundation, in memory of their friend Nicole, who passed away from bowel cancer in January.
Dane Simpson and his dad Bow
Comedian Dane Simpson is stoked that audiences will get to meet his dad Bow, and believes “Australia [will] absolutely … fall in love with him.”
If they take home the win, the money will go to the Dharriwaa Elders Group Incorporated. The charity will use the money to supply fresh drinking water to the people in Walgett, something that would change lives.
Darren McMullen and his nephew Tristan Dougan
Actor and host Darren McMullen is no stranger to reality shows, having recently competed on The Masked Singer and The Celebrity Apprentice Australia.
He and his nephew Tristan Dougan have chosen the charity Feel the Magic, which helps children who have lost a parent. “The more money we can raise for them the better, the more awareness we can bring to that charity is also fantastic,” Darren said.
Emma Watkins and her sister Hayley
Emma Watkins made waves as the first-ever female Wiggle. After 9 years as the Yellow Wiggle, she left the group to pursue other passions, including raising awareness for Australia’s Deaf community. It’s no surprise that Emma and Hayley have chosen to race on behalf of the Leonie Jackson Memorial Fund.
“[It’s] a spinoff from Deaf Connect, and it really is about supporting and accessing information for deaf and hard-of-hearing children,” she said.
Ben Gillies and his wife Jackie
Musician Ben Gillies and TV personality Jackie are hoping to have an amazing experience together. The duo are competitive, and hope to take the prize home for the Moira Kelly Creating Hope Foundation. The charity offers help and support for displaced women and children, and Jackie says the charity is “close to [their] heart”.
Jana Pittman and her son Cornelis Rawlinson
Jana Pittman knows what it’s like to win big, after taking home multiple gold medals from the Commonwealth Games. She said she was “very, very honoured” to be asked to take part, and is hoping to win the prize for the Royal Hospital for Women.
Peter Rowsthorn and his daughter Frankie
This comedic father-daughter duo are looking forward to having an “adventure” together, and think they have a good chance at building some alliances with other teams.
They’re racing on behalf of All Stars for Autism, which Frankie describes as a “beautiful organisation”.
