The Real Love Boat has dropped an even longer promo, and honestly, the drama, the tea, and the romance just look *chefs kiss*.

With The Bachelorette not returning for 2022 and The Bachelor taking its sweet time, it’s without a doubt The Real Love Boat has some huge shoes to fill in regards to reality TV drama.

We got our first glimpse of The Real Love Boat in August, where we were introduced to the lads and ladies, who will be running the ship, including host Darren McMullen and Below Deck’s Mediterranean’s Hannah Ferrier.

The latest trailer that just dropped focuses more on the contestants, the romance, and what we should be expecting from the plot of the show.

Watch The Real Love Boat’s latest trailer before we jump into the discussion:

Right off the bat, the show absolutely looks like a cross between Love Island and Below Deck and that’s enough to get us hooked.

OFC the main aim is for passengers on the boat to find love, but like many reality TV shows, there is a competitive aspect. Not much has been said about how the show will work, but I’m guessing that the contestants must pair off into couples and each episode, or week, a couple will be eliminated. The trailer also shows some form of an elimination ceremony, with one contestant saying “unfortunately I’m not picking you.”

It also looks like The Real Love Boat will be turning up the drama by adding in extra passengers or intruders. Darren McMullen can be heard saying in the trailer, “we have a new passenger on board. Maybe you’ll choose the person you’re already dating or someone else has caught your eye.”

It appears there’ll be the usual wide array of characters who make great reality TV on The Real Love Boat, with one contestant admitting that she’s the “Virgin Mary of dating,” while in another scene contestants appear to be getting rather heated.

Plus, Network 10 has since released a video introducing us to two contestants, Jay and Sally, who are both single parents look for love, and TBH I’m already rooting for these two to be the first success story out of The Real Love Boat.

There’s still no official air date on The Real Love Boat, but we’re ready for all the drama, mostly to fill that Bachelor/Bachelorette void, and to see Hannah from Below Deck stir some shit up!

The Real Love Boat is coming soon to 10 and 10 play.
