Shonee From ‘Australian Survivor’ Has Announced Her Surprise Pregnancy
This year’s Australian Survivor was incred, with a bunch of epic blindsides and sneaky moves culminating in what was considered the best tribal ever. We were personally blessed with the Spice Girls alliance, after Shonee Bowtell, King George, and winner Liz Parnov joined forces early on in the game.
Of course, George Mladenov ended up betraying our queen Shonee, and while we’re gutted she didn’t manage to make it to the end, it turns out she’s been hiding something that trumps her Survivor arc: she’s expecting a baby!
In a sweet Instagram post, Shonee showed off her baby bump while posing with her boyfriend Matt Jamieson, followed by a snap of their ultrasound.

Her fellow Australian Survivor pals were quick to comment, with previous winner Hayley Leake writing: “This is gonna be one smokin’ baby! Congrats you two!!”
“FINALLY!!! I’ve been waiting too long for this announcement moment. Yay,” added Brooke Jowett.
“YESSS!!! Finally. So happy for you mama!!! Can’t wait to have play dates with your bub and Mav xx,” Felicity Egginton commented.
“Best news! Congrats Shonee. That’s gonna be one lucky kid,” Benjamin Law wrote.
The couple have been quite private, and only hard launched their relationship on social media in April this year. In an interview with TV Week in February 2023, Shonee appeared to confirm she was single, but she might’ve been trying to keep her new relationship under wraps.
Matt seems to run his own company called Render X, which specialises in construction rendering. He appeared on The Block in 2019 to render El’ise and Matt’s feature wall and fireplace, so it’s possible his reality TV experience helped him connect with Shonee.
Shonee’s baby news does mean that she’s unlikely to appear on Survivor again anytime soon, but hey, maybe we could see the couple compete on The Block next year? We love a reality TV crossover.
