Cam Woods must finally have phone reception, because he’s been busy spilling the tea about his experience on Married at First Sight.

The groom is known for a few things, including, um, getting his dick out at a nightclub, being off the grid for his remote job (for up to a year at a time), and throwing a tantrum when his TV wife Lyndall Grace refused to listen to his final vows.

Cam was enemy number one when he told Lyndall that he’d be willing to compromise when it came to his career and move for love, but she simply didn’t tick all his boxes. According to producers, this was Cam’s very first relationship, and that checks out.

In an Instagram Q&A, the FIFO carpenter shared some juicy secrets about Claire Nomarhas and Adam Seed’s cheating scandal, touched on his “villain edit”, and revealed what life with his new girlfriend is like now.

Cam Woods storming off after final vows on MAFS leaving Lyndall Grace Married at First Sight

From his ideal Married at First Sight match to whether he ever cheated on Lyndall during the show, we’ve sifted through his answers to bring you everything you need to know:

Cam Woods on if he cheated on Lyndall Grace and where they stand now:

To recap: Cam was accused of cheating on Lyndall with intruder bride Tayla Winter during the show. The Tassie nurse confirmed that while she FaceTimed Cam every day (that’s suss, if you ask me) and he “got his willy out” during a call, that was as far as it went.

Cam has doubled down, claiming he was faithful during the experiment. “Never did cheat once. That little incident that happened in the nightclub where I got my willy out, happened after the final vows. So that was after everything was done,” he said.

And as far as being friendly with his ex Lyndall goes, he didn’t beat around the bush. “I wouldn’t really say we’ve remained friends at all. Honestly, it’s one of those things, you move on. Wish her all the best,” he said.

Cam Woods on his current girlfriend:

The remote worker has found a partner who ticks all his boxes and he’s been spending lots of time with her with the new couple planning on travelling around Australia together. I guess he wasn’t lying when he said he’d be open to moving to a different state if he found the right person.

He’s clearly smitten with his new girlfriend, Cheyanne Day, and it turns out his mum is too.  “[Our relationship is] the best we have ever been. She has got a cheeky smile and a groovy style,” he wrote. “I honestly think [my] mum loves her more than she loves me.”

The pair met at a local pub, with Cam being impressed by how easily she could knock back a schooner. How romantic.

Cam Woods on his “villain edit”:

Fair play to Cam on this answer, because he’s not bitter about his edit. But does that mean he was portrayed accurately? He doesn’t seem to think so.

“The first thing in the contract when you sign was, ‘We might portray you as someone you’re not’. So it’s just one of those things where you don’t know until it’s aired,” he claimed. “A lot of people don’t realise that it’s a reality TV show and things get chopped and changed.

“But at the end of the day, it is what it is, and you’ve just gotta roll with the punches.”

Cam Woods on Claire Nomarhas and Adam Seed’s cheating scandal:

I know, I know, this cheating scandal has been talked about way more than it should have. It was just a kiss, people! But Cam has added a bit of context to what really went down when the cast ended up drinking at a bar.

“I was there that night, I don’t remember much of being there that night,” he recalled. “I was kind of in my own little world, I think the Fireball really got to my head. And I think it got to a lot of people’s heads that night, because everyone had copious amounts of alcohol to drink.”

“Not saying that’s an excuse, but I didn’t even know. I only found out three weeks later at a dinner party, so it was pretty hectic.”

Cam Woods on the bride that would have been a better match:

When asked if he could have swapped his bride for any of the other contestants, Cam shared a photo with Janelle Han. The contestants posed as if they were getting married, with Jesse Burford pretending to officiate.

While Janelle definitely deserved more than crypto-bro Adam, we’re not sure that Cam would’ve been much better.
