Duncan From ‘MAFS’ Is ‘All In’ With Evelyn And We’re Obsessed
We all swooned when Married at First Sight’s Duncan James and Evelyn Ellis finally confirmed their relationship earlier this month. The pair, who have won the genetic lottery let’s be honest, had obvious chemistry when they ended up living together during the MAFS couple swap.
While Duncan and Evelyn swear they didn’t hook up during the three-day stint, but they did indulge in a sexy baking photoshoot, a few wines, and stayed up talking until the early hours of the morning. When you’re both that ridiculously good-looking, why wouldn’t you?
There was a bit of confusion about when their relationship started, with Evelyn thinking she was still single even after they shared a cheeky kiss in March.
“I was totally in the relationship at that point, but we hadn’t had ‘the chat’, which was quite interesting,” Duncan said on Pedestrian’s We’ve Done The MAFS podcast. “[Evelyn] was like, ‘You haven’t actually asked me if we’re [official]’. And I’m like, ‘If we’re boyfriend [and] girlfriend? I’ve been living in that world for a while!’.”
Lucky for us, our fave couple is still going strong today, with Evelyn taking the reins. “As soon as me and Duncan kissed, I was not interested in anyone else,” she said. “I need it black and white. I need ‘Evelyn Cassandra Ellis, will you be my girlfriend?’. Otherwise, I get confused and I just feel like it’s not communicated. So, after that chat, I was like, okay cool.
“Apparently to him, we were dating way before that,” she laughed.
We are living for Evelyn and Duncan’s healthy-communication era, especially after everything that went down between Duncan and his ex Alyssa Barmonde.

Later in the podcast, Duncan also shared how he expected his relationship with Evelyn to be “uneasy”, due to the pressure of being in the public eye.
“It felt like we had to have all these conversations that you would never naturally have at that time, and that itself puts pressure on the situation,” he told the podcast hosts. “I thought it was going to be uneasy, all those questions, it was going to be hard.”
Once the pair gave into their obvious attraction to each other, Duncan was surprised by how everything fell into place.
“The way I’ve described it is, through all this chaos and mess coming out of MAFS, it’s always felt really calm with Evelyn.” Cute!
