Some Of The ‘MAFS’ Cast Are ‘Pissed’ After Big Logies Snub

Another day, another Married at First Sight drama. Apparently some of this year’s cast are upset that Channel Nine hasn’t invited them to this year’s TV Week Logies

I’m a bit confused about this for a couple of reasons, one being that MAFS has been nominated for two awards: Most Outstanding Reality Program and Most Popular Reality Program, so you’d expect all the participants to be invited.

The other reason is me simply wondering just how relevant the Logies still are? Tbf, it does seem like a great way for new reality TV stars to keep the spotlight on them, and the MAFS cast loves getting all glammed up.

According to the  Daily Mail, the snubbed cast members are “pissed” that Nine seems to have clear favourites, and some have even resorted to “begging” Nine’s publicist for a cheeky invite.

“No one knows what’s going on, Nine keep telling the cast that it’s not up to them who they invite and it’s all dependent on a number of reasons,” a source told the publication. “Half of them are pissed that it’s the same favourite six cast members who keep getting opportunities from Nine, while the others are forgotten about.”

So, which cast members are likely to make the cut?

At the Logies nomination breakfast earlier this week, there were three couples in attendance. Evelyn Ellis, Duncan James, Tahnee Cook, Ollie Skelton, Melinda Willis and Layton Mills all posed for pics at the event, so I’m convinced they’re all on the Logies guest list.

The Daily Mail claimed that Nine hasn’t sent out any formal invitations yet, and will only be confirming the attendees in the “coming days”.

Based on this info, I reckon contestants like Jesse Burford, Bronte Schofield, Lyndall Grace, Janelle Han, Sandy Jawanda, Josh White, Cam Woods, Dan Hunjas and Claire Nomarhas are unlikely to get an invite.

Claire told the publication that she wouldn’t beg for an invite, saying: “They should be lucky to have me.” We love a confident queen who knows her self-worth.

Controversial groom Harrison, on the other hand, made a joke that had me cringing so hard. “I can’t walk the red carpet because I have lower back pain from carrying Season 10 on my shoulders,” he said. “I carried the show on my back and they don’t invite me, it’s bullshit, but I can’t blame them since I’ve called out their pathetic edit since leaving the show.”

Oop, I’m guessing there’ll be plenty more messy Logies drama to come, so watch this space.
