There are whispers about a new celebrity bidder headed to shake up The Block 2023. Auctions are just around the corner – taking place on November 4 and airing the following day – with price guides ranging from $2.2 million to $2.85 million.

With the cost of living at an all-time high, these prices look to be out of reach for many everyday Aussies. We’ll likely see famed The Block buyer Danny Wallis and Adrian “Mr Lambo” Portelli turn up, but there’s a new bidder that attended the ‘Open for Inspection’ event: TV host Andy Lee

“The reserve prices are currently being discussed and it wouldn’t be unreasonable for Andy to snap up one of the houses on the street. Wouldn’t that be a positive and fun way to tie up the season?” an insider spilled to Yahoo Lifestyle. Apparently, the comedian was seen “actively checking out” Eliza and Liberty’s house – which is House 5 for those playing along at home.

He’s got a connection to the sisters, as Eliza was his personal assistant for 10 years prior to competing on The Block. “He seemed quite surprised at how well the girls had gone and was incredibly supportive,” the source added.

In a sweet move, Andy also turned up wearing a baseball cap to keep a low profile, as he didn’t want to “take away from the girls’ moment”.

Who is going to win The Block 2023?

There have been a few rumours flying around about the auction, with one insider tipping Kristy and Brett’s house as the winner. “House 3 will make the most money and that is not going to go well with viewers who have savaged Kristy and Brett’s behaviour throughout the series,” a source said.

Adrian Portelli’s visit to The Block during the Domain house ranking challenge revealed an extra clue that House 3 will take home the $100,000 prize. He’s known for driving the auction price up for Omar and Oz’s property last year, causing the pair to break records and take home some serious cash. He chose House 3 as his favourite, saying that their garage was impressive, so does that mean he’s going to bid big for Kristy and Brett?

On the other hand, MAFS’ Claire Nomarhas visited during the Open for Inspection weekend, and her pick is Kyle and Leslie’s house. “House 1 was my favourite by far! It’s a shame they got absolutely roasted every week by the judges.”

I think I speak for everyone when I say I hope House 3 doesn’t take home the prize – but I still want to see each contestant walk away with a decent chunk of cash.
