Alyssa From ‘MAFS’ Shares Her Honest Thoughts On Duncan And Evelyn’s Relationship
Married at First Sight’s Ollie Skelton has opened a can of worms with his podcast, Tosser.
After having his friends and former co-stars Duncan James and Rupert Bugden on the show, Duncan’s ex Alyssa Barmonde has headed to Instagram to share her side of the story.
In one of the podcast segments, the trio discussed the sticky situation of Duncan getting together with Rupert’s ex Evelyn Ellis, and shared that Duncan went to Rupert out of “respect” before going public.

“What would you have done if I said ‘F**k off Duncan, no [you can’t date Evelyn]’?” Rupert asked.
“I don’t think it would’ve stopped anything, it was more about the respect… if you didn’t go and do something because somebody that’s not in the relationship didn’t want you to do it. God, you wouldn’t have the balls to be in a relationship,” Duncan declared.
Then it got interesting. Duncan revealed that Josh White let him know that he was going on a date with Alyssa, which we now know is because Josh didn’t want Duncan to be blindsided by any news reports.

This didn’t sit right with Alyssa, who decided to address the sticky situation about her ex’s new relationship with her former friend Evelyn.
“Let’s talk about this. Is it also weird Duncan threw me and Josh under the bus about going on a date to deflect the fact neither him nor Evelyn didn’t give me ‘respect’ to tell me about their relationship, and I had to hear from someone else?” she asked on her Instagram story.
“Why even bring it up? When it actually just proved that Josh had enough respect for him (and me) to tell him. But he couldn’t reciprocate.”

Why didn’t Duncan and Evelyn tell Alyssa about their new relationship?
But wait, it gets spicier.
A fan slid into Alyssa’s DM’s saying that Duncan apparently wanted to tell Alyssa before going public with Evelyn, but claimed he couldn’t because the former couple no longer talk.
“Doesn’t make sense to me. Evelyn could have told me when I thought her and I were friends,” Alyssa replied on her Instagram Story. “So why didn’t Evelyn tell me when her and I were friends? Guess we weren’t lol.”
In another Instagram Story, Alyssa clarified that she doesn’t expect her exes to get in touch when they’ve moved on with somebody else, calling that “absurd”. “But if it’s with someone in our friend group, who we went through a life-altering experiment with, and whom was supposedly ‘rooting for us’, and they had enough ‘respect’ for Rupes to tell him. Doesn’t make sense to me,” she said.

What have the MAFS cast said about Alyssa’s situation?
Former MAFS cast members reshared Alyssa’s Instagram stories, with Lyndall Grace penning a heartfelt statement. “Alyssa is a reasonable, loving, GOOD person,” Lyndall wrote. “I genuinely couldn’t have made it through without her. She deserved so much better than she got from her experience!”
Tahnee Cook also added her thoughts, and teased that she’s got more tea to spill about the reality show, saying: “I support Alyssa 1000% [and] I’ve seriously had enough of her constantly being hated on… I will finally be speaking up on this too.”
