Everything We Know About ‘MAFS’ 2024: Cast, Filming Dates And More
It’s that time of year, again, when all the tidbits about next year’s season of Married At First Sight are starting to leak. And while we’re still being flooded with news of Season 10’s brides and grooms starting podcasts, messy feuds, and popping up at approximately one billion PR events, there’s fresh reality TV tea to be had.
Here’s everything we know about Married at First Sight Australia 2024:
When will MAFS 2024 start filming?
A Married at First Sight Season 11 casting call posted by Channel 9 revealed that filming would start in late July and wrap up in November. There’s likely going to be some hot goss, leaked snaps and more as filming ramps up.
When will MAFS 2024 air?
Channel 9 won’t announce the air date until much closer to the time, but Season 10 started airing on January 30, 2023. It’s likely the network will stick to a similar timeline, but it will also depend on what rival networks choose to broadcast, and when.
Will there be any same-sex couples on MAFS 2024?
The latest goss on the MAFS rumour mill is that there will be two men tying the knot for the 2024 season. In the words of Lizzo, it’s about damn time.
We haven’t seen a same-sex couple on the show since 2020, when Tash Herz and Amanda Micallef were paired together. Prior to that, gay couple Andy John and Craig Roach got hitched in New Zealand, but Craig left the relo not long after their wedding.
An insider told Daily Mail that the show is hoping to “genuinely represent” same-sex relationships this year. “It’s important to get this right. We’re not just adding diversity for the sake of it, but to genuinely represent the many colours of love.”
Will there be any major changes for MAFS 2024?
After 10 seasons, it makes sense that producers would be thinking of ways to “freshen” up the franchise. According to Yahoo Lifestyle!, there will be “several influencers and fame-hungry hopefuls” on the show, but there will also be a “better balance between the controversial participants there to stir drama and the ones genuinely looking for love.”
The insider adds that producers are aiming to have a “more diverse cast” than seen before, as fans have been complaining about “recycled” drama from other seasons. “[Producers want to] cover a wider range of social issues, sexualities and genders than previous seasons… it wouldn’t be out of the question to have a participant that identifies as non-binary, gender-fluid or is trans,” the insider said. According to the source, producers are wanting to portray “modern-day Australia”, and are “making a real effort” to be inclusive while casting participants.
Who is set to appear on MAFS 2024?
Nothing has been confirmed by Channel 9 or the cast yet, but there’s a spicy rumour that one of the grooms will look very familiar, as he’s related to a past contestant.
Jayden Eynaud
Daily Mail has reported that Mitch Eynaud’s brother Jayden Eynaud will be one of the grooms for 2024, so we might see the ex-contestant at the wedding. The professional kickboxer is apparently “stoked and excited” to be joining the reality show, so, I’m guessing he’s after fame, notoriety and for a future celeb boxing match. Tbh, the MAFS relationship success rate is embarrassingly low, so he probs didn’t sign up for love.
Lauren Dunn
The publication also claims that the producers have cast another influencer from Perth. Hmm, sounds like Janelle Han to me.
Lauren Dunn is a PR consultant, marketing professional, and food blogger. Her friends have said she’s a “smart and savvy angelic beauty”, and she has almost 13,000 followers on her foodie Insta account So Cooked. OK, so she’s more of a micro-influencer, but getting on one of Australia’s biggest reality shows will surely help.
Perth Now recently uncovered another tidbit about Lauren, with insiders telling the publication that she recently split from AFL player Ryan Crowley in June. Their relo was pretty serious, with the pair hitting the five-year milestone prior to the breakup. With MAFS 2024 being filmed in late July, the timing is very… interesting.
Ben Walters
We’ve previously written about Ben Walters, with sources telling So Dramatic! he’s been busy talking about his burgeoning reality TV career.
The wannabe reality TV star has apparently been “claiming to anyone who will listen that he was hand-picked for The Bachelors but didn’t make the cut… now he’s telling people MAFS producers are back in touch with him for [the next] season.”
I know we haven’t seen him on TV yet, but I’m getting cringe vibes. He’s got a profile on theright.fit – an agency for models, actors, and influencers, listing himself as an “excellent presenter, extra or even actor”.
But here’s the kicker: he’s used the fact he was shortlisted for MAFS in 2022 and 2023 as a key skill. Pls, that’s like listing all the places that didn’t hire you, on your CV. I wish I had an ounce of this confidence.
Which MAFS 2023 couples are still together?
Ollie Skelton and Tahnee Cook
These youngsters were dubbed the Gen-Z lovers by the experts, and they committed to each other with emotional final vows. They’re still together today, and Ollie moved from Perth to be with Tahnee in Sydney. With the way their relationship is headed, we could be looking at a real marriage in the next few years.
Melinda Wills and Layton Mills
The power couple had one of the rockiest relationships on Season 10, but they’re also one of my faves. The two CEOs are both stubborn, and Melinda wears her heart on her sleeve, while Layton approaches problems in a logical and sterile way. But… it seems to just work. Melinda lives in Brissie, so Layton is planning on moving from NSW to Queensland soon.
Evelyn Ellis and Duncan James
These two weren’t matched on the show, with Evelyn and Duncan breaking it off with Rupert Budgen and Alyssa Barmonde during final vows. We did get a glimpse of their chemistry during the couple swap, and once filming finished, they finally got together. They’ve quickly solidified their standing as one of the most iconic MAFS couples yet. They’re genetically blessed, but when Punkee talked to them, they were also down-to-earth and tbh, hilarious.
Where are the MAFS 2023 contestants now?
Some contestants, like Melissa Sheppard and Cam Woods have mostly avoided the spotlight, but there’s a fair few that are milking it for all that it’s worth.
Janelle Han, who is a beauty influencer, has moved from Perth to Sydney and has been seen at a number of PR events. She’s friends with most of the cast, but doesn’t speak to Adam Seed and Dan Hunjas… for obvious reasons.
Tahnee Cook, who previously worked in PR, has been seen at multiple PR events and has just announced her new podcast, Chuffed. Her boyf Ollie Skelton, who was a voice-over artist before MAFS, lives with her in Sydney and recently launched his own podcast called Tosser.
Alyssa Barmonde still has a child, and has spoken out about her MAFS edit. Tbf, she did cop quite a bit of hate, and she’s dropped a few bombshells about her relo with ex Duncan James.
Rupert Budgen, our fave nervy guy, has stayed on good terms with ex Evelyn Ellis, and has been spotted looking for love on Hinge.

Melinda Willis, who is a CEO queen, has recently opened up a new salon called Melly’s Beauty Parlour. She has almost 600,000 followers on Instagram, with a huge fanbase in the UK.
Claire Nomarhas, who cheated on Jesse Burford during MAFS with Adam Seed, has well and truly moved on from the experiment… and found love, with another reality TV star. She’s smitten with My Kitchen Rules’ Patrick Calleja, but no, we won’t be seeing them team up for another reality show in the future.
Harrison Boon, who is possibly one of the most controversial MAFS grooms, like, ever, has also launched The Harrison Boon Podcast. Tbh, I haven’t listened to it, and I don’t know if I could put myself through that.
Bronte Schofield, the pocket rocket paired with Harrison, has been making a killing on OnlyFans. She reportedly made a whopping $100,000 in just three days, and we absolutely love this for her.
